Brown Butter Brooklyn is a Bedford Stuyvesant-based baking company that offers a seasonal assortment of pies, tarts, cakes and cookies. We especially love the deep flavors of brown butter (you’ll find hints of this in many of our treats), caramel, chocolate, as well as the combination of sweet and savory. Our products use locally sourced organic ingredients to create globally inspired flavors.
Our menu reflects the background of owner, Grace Cho. Grace was born in Korea, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and has lived in Brooklyn for the past fifteen years. Her mother was a forager and her father was a farmer, so she understands the importance of knowing where your food comes from and fostering a connection to the people who make it. She studied classic French pastry at the Institute for Culinary Education in NYC and has traveled extensively in Asia, Latin America, and Europe to expand her culinary visions.
